It is a pleasure to announce that the Modern International Study (MIS) team for the 14th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court Competition (FIAMCC) has come second in this year’s international rounds. It is further an honor to congratulate Ms. Mehrnoosh Janbakhsh for being chosen as the competition’s Best Oralist (best mooter).

It is the first time in Iran’s history that any moot court team has reached such a level and it is the first time ever than an Iranian has won the Best Oralist Prize in an international competition. The 14th FIAMCC also marks Iran’s first ever appearance in this particular moot.

The Team, consisting of Mehrnoosh Janbakhsh, AmirMahdi Dehghan, Zahra Khatib and Mahtab Javadi and coached by Mr. Ali Hossaini and Ms. Atie Babaei have marked a new chapter in Iran’s moot court history.
The team faced the Singapore Management University in the finals, The City University of London in the semifinal, The Peking University School of Transnational Law in quarterfinals and the Fudan University in the round of 16.
The team further competed against Gujarat National Law University, University of Ljubljana, Westminster International University and the Fudan University in the general rounds of the competition.

This great win is a sign of the times for the Moot court community in Iran and we hope to achieve similar results in the future.
